hi im OFW working here abroad marriage for 3 years my husband was seaman and just recently i received a text message from him telling that he wants to file an annullment and if i would not cooperate to him he will ruin my name an profession just to found out that our neighbor tell that wen i left in philippines last june he always bring differnt girls on our house maybe thats why he wants annulment and he said i dont have any rights on our properties and even allotments because we dont have children..i am here in UAE will can i find here legal counsel because i want to fights for my rights as a wife..wat could u advise me?what case can i file against him he was torturing me emotionally and my inlaws wants to own now our house.

what properties do you have? he cannot sell them without your consent.

we have a bungalow house in caloocan and 2 lot in province he said i dont have any rights in all our properties and now they change all the pad locks of our house in manila so that i dont have access anymore..what should i do?do i need to go there in philippines just to sue him?

if the titles are in both your names, then he can't sell them without your consent.

what do you want to sue him for? you can choose to oppose his annulment and delay it all the way to the supreme court to frustrate his plan.

so atty u mean i can oppose if he will file annulment but only in supreme court because i know he wanted annullment so that he can do whaetever he wants..other thing was how can i ask for an allotment because in his contract he was single and as a wife i didnt received any centavo from him and maybe other girl was benifiting from that i already call his company but they said sorry wer not involve in that case as long as ur husband was approved by the POEA we cannot impose him to give u allotment..

file a letter with poea and provide proof that you are married. opposition should be done during trial.
