Good pm, ask ko lang po meron kc ako 26k na nagamit sa credit card ko last 2007 pa nawalan kc ako ng trabaho kaya hindi ako nakapagbayad, pero gusto ko sana i-settle kahit magbayad ako pakonti konti...pwede kaya un...pano po pag mag file sila sakin ng collection for sum of money ano po ibig sabihin nun...pero wala po ako natanggap na demand letters ever since gusto ko lng po i-settle na sana.

hello buti ka nga ala pa ako grabe dami nagpadala nakaktakot mag approach ng collector nila sa phone or pumupunta talaga sa office nakakhiya kc nag scandalo doon

meron po akong utang sa isang credit card company...bale mga tatlong taon na akong hindi nakakapagbayad...ask ko lang po kung pede ba akong makulong pag hindi ko nabayaran yung utang ko sa credit card?thank you po...

galing po ako sa abroad bale 2 years na po ako dito, may naiwan po akong utang dun, sa ngayon po willing ko na po bayaran mga utang ng unti unti paano po ba dapat gawin, may mga email po sakin at naniningil na po sila pero dito yung parang collecting agency, at saka sa laki na po ng interest mahihirapan na po ako bayaran yun ano po ba ang dapat kong gawin makipag coordinate ako sa collecting agency? paano po kung ayaw nila pumayag na unti unti ang bayad ko?

The credit card company should first send you a reminder letter, then a demand letter before a court case is filed against you. Once you receive a reminder letter, forge a settlement agreement with the company. Have them write you a clearance once you have paid your obligation.

Hi! I had unsettled bills from a credit card company and I tried to avail of the payment scheme they offered however, I was only able to pay 5thousand last March 2012. Then today, just a few hours ago, I received a text message that says, "This is from Credit INvestigation Bureau Inc. Your Civil Case complaint has been finalized to us under R.A. 8484. We are going to serve with our Investigation Team after 24 Hrs. as SOP. You can still hold by calling at 02xxxxx and look for Atty. X. Otherwise just prepare the necessary document with your lawyer."

I just want to know if this is a legitimate legal step from a bank or a credit card company or can I consider this as a harrassment?

Also, I read R.A. 8484, from my very limited knowledge of legalities, I don't see any appropriate grounds for me because I did not commit any fraudulent acts nor counterfiet any device/cards. I also did not "abandon or surreptitiously leaves the place of employment, business or residence stated in my application or credit card" although I did resign from my employment, I am still residing in the same home address and using the same number. I even ask the one who texted me to identify him self which he/she replied "Call urgent at XXX-XXXX and look for Atty. X. (I intentionally did not mention the numbers and names involved).
