1 30 DAY NOTICE TO RESIGN on Sat Mar 24, 2012 1:50 am

Arresto Menor
I have tendered my resignation letter March 16, 2012 and will be effective on April 16, 2012.

My employeer anyway will be moving to a new location by April 16, 2012, reason why i would like to resign is due to the distance.

Employers target is zero attrition once the whole department will move by april. But i just knew it lately. Prior in tendering the resignation letter, i already informed my supervisor that i would not be amenable if the company moves out to a very distant location.

My employer wants my resignation cut short until March 31.

I am about to use my vacation leave on april 2-6. Can i get some bargaining on my leave? like convert to cash instead? or just adhere on what they want? i just find it so unfair..i can't lose a job for two weeks, they could have informed me on their goal(zero attrition) so i could have signed a contract on an earlier start date.

Please advice

yes, you can bargain. you don't have to agree to cut it short.

then you'll have to abide by the 30 day notice rule
