Arresto Menor
Hi! I was married May 2006, I was only turning 19 the following month and we lived together for less than a year though it only lasted that long because friends and family were telling us to work it out. He was verbally abusive, jobless most of the time, frequently drunk, and just really not doing his part. We tried living apart, with him just visiting once in a while but he started accusing me of having an affair at school. He was publicly humiliating me and hit me a couple of times, even threatening to get our daughter. When I had enough I was advised to get a written agreement from our baranggay where we signed that we'll be having separate lives and share equal obligations for our child. But months pass that he wouldn't even show up much less give support. Soon after our separation I found up he had another relationship and the girl was already pregnant for months. Now they have 2 kids. He's working abroad and I haven't talked to him for almost four years. Sometimes his mom gives money for my daughter but it's not even enough for her monthly tuition.

I have a boyfriend who's been very kind to both me and my daughter and he's been the one sending my child to a private school for 2 years now. He wants to take me to where he's working but as it's in the Middle East, we couldn't live together unless we get married there so I need my marriage annuled. But I know it's really expensive. Is that the only way though? If so, maybe you can give any suggestions as to where to find a good lawyer, an estimated cost and length of procedure these suits usually take.

Thank you!
