Excessive absenteeism memo - 3 leaves in 5 mos

Arresto Menor
My husband is working in a BPO company. He received a memo, because he had 3 leaves in a period of 5 months. They are only allowed to have 5 leaves in a year (but they can earn VL's per month) and his past 3-leaves were all leave without pay. Yet, he still received a memo from the management. Is this correct?

Also, the company is implementing 2 versions of company manual - is this legally acceptable?

a written warning is a valid form of disciplinary action by the management. check also the company manual. what is the difference between the two? perhaps one is just updated or supplements the old one.
