Good Day, Attorneys...

This really bothers me, can anyone answer me?? I am new here, this is my first post and I'm sorry if I'm on the wrong board..

I am a Nurse, My boss (Doctor) was subpoenaed. When the subpoena was served, she wasn't around so I received it and signed that the subpoena was received by me. When I told her about it, she was mad at me, she said I don't have the power to receive it cause it isn't for me. She is threatening me that I would be in trouble if she wouldn't come because I was the on who signed it, am I really liable?

Hope someone can clear this up, Salamat..

subpoena issued by what office? imo, you will not be liable for anything.

Salamat sa Pag respond...

Actually it was a subpoena ad testificadum. Asking her to appear and testify in case years ago, since she attended one of those involved in the case..

Another Question: Does she have the power to change schedule with the hearing?? Coz in her exact words, she said : If it was me who personally receive it, I could appeal for movement of date...

well, not you, but her. she can inform the court that she is not available on that date and request another one.
