What kind of papers does one need to stay in the country? Being married to a Filipina, I got a 1 year Balikbayan Visa. When that expired I got a 1 year ACR card. That will expire in October. I'm in the process of getting my 5 year. How can a person not have some kind of document to stay in this country. This whole is about my son.

your orig question was not very detailed. a US citizen is not required to get a visa for a short visit to the PH. but to stay, the BI has discretion whether to allow or not based on a conviction. it will depend on what you were convicted for and how the BI appreciates it.
