i am married to a guy that had a previous marriage (not annulled). but my husband doesnt know that i knew that he was married before.

Now, we are happily married to each other. i just figured it out his marriage accidentally. i love him but i feel nervous when i am thinking his marriage before. it might get me into trouble sooner or later.

i need your advices,

1. should i keep my silence?or if i kept it in that way, can i be charged of bigamy?

2. if his wife's family finds out, is there anyway to see our marriage?how?

3. our marriage and his wife are both registered on NSO. if i request a copy of our marriage certificate on NSO, can i get a copy of it?(please tell me if my name will appear or not)i did'nt request a copy yet, because i am afraid that it might shown the name of his wife not me on marriage certificate.

i know im in deep sh*t but it doesnt matter. i fell inlove with him thats the worst thing happened to me.and i accepted what he is.

thanking you in advance.

Hi christine21.

Anyone who contracts marriage knowing that there is still a subsisting valid marriage can be held criminally liable for bigamy.

The first wife may find out about the marriage by word of mouth, or by verifying with the NSO. Your husband's CENOMAR may show that he has already contracted 2 marriages.

Yes, you may get a copy of your marriage certificate.

it is just one of the many ways. It is the best idea to talk to your husband about your current situation. sooner or later the 1st wife might find out about your marriage and that definitely will put you in a very uncomfortable situation. Note that sa bigamy hindi lang ang asawa niya ang maaring mag-sampa ng kaso laban sa inyo. Dahil bigamy is a public crime, kahit sino pwede kayong idemanda ng bigamy.

file a petition to have your marriage declared as void by the court due to bigamous ground.
