Sana may makasagot po

Nagwoworry po ako, I was waiting for my uncle's payment for the money he owed my mother (50,000) na madeposit sa bank ko. When I checked my bank account meron pong 40,000 (I previously gave my uncle my bank info). I withdrew the whole amount immediately kasi po nagpapagawa po kami ng bahay. Seaman po ang tito ko so bihira ko po sya macontact. When I asked him if he deposited the 40,000 he said it was not him and he didn't have the money yet. So, right now I don't know where the money came from. I think its an error with my bank and possible its from another account holder. What course of action should I make? I don't have the amount anymore and I feel obligated to call the bank to have this thing fixed. Pwede po ba akong makulong if I can't give the amount right away if it was mistakenly deposited into my account and I took them all?

When money is deposited on your account, you are not responsible to return it! The person who deposited it cannot extract it anymore! They cannot do anything if you cannot return the money! It is up to you to cooperate to return it! But if you can't return it, it's not your fault and they can't do anything about it!

Of course you have responsibility on it.
I remember when my friend who owned a factory somewhere in Pasig, received an amount of 1M in her account.
It was fault of course by a Teller. But the bank knows who own the account. So they pushed my friend to turn it back but she refused. So its presumed that she gave authority to a bank to banned her in BSP wherein she cannot borrowed money anymore from bank. Once the real owner of that money ask for it I think you cannot avoid to pay for it if you're man enough. Yes its not fault. But realizing it's not your money maybe you have to pay it back not necessarily in one hit.but slowly Atleast napakinabangan mo pa rin yan.
Outside the law. Being human. You should be responsible paying it. or Should I say turning it back. SInce namentioned mo na may hinihintay kang 50k from your uncle.
Maybe in God's reason to test your honesty. Opinyon lang.

Bollocks! I made several wrong deposit having been given a wrong account number sending money home the bank could not do anything about it! Once money's deposited they cannot extract it unless it was reported fraud! But if you deposited the money voluntarily and chase after it afterwards! No chance! the bank will just say "how are we supposed to know that the payment you made is just by mistake?" and they will tell you to contact the owner's account where you accidentally deposited the money. At kapag dili makipag cooperate wala ka na magagawa! End the story!

I do not have plans to deny it, if I get questioned naman and will pay it. The thing is, nagastos ko na lahat, pwede ko bang bayaran paunti unti? Or am I obligated to pay the whole amount right away? Very Happy I think if I deny it I can be sued for theft, because the amount is not mine..

once the error is discovered, you can be required to return it, or face criminal charges.
