Last week, as a company requirements we had a drug test and one of the staff is positive what should we do to that employee?
In our policy if the employee admit to work under the influence of drugs. (Pagpasok sa trabaho na nasa ilalim ng ipinagbabawal na gamot.) they will be dismissed.

assuming it was a random drug test...

Even if they were found positive for drugs, he should first be given the right to explain why he was found so. It could have been that he have taken drugs as cure for ailment under a physician’s prescription and supervision. Doubts should be in favor of the working class in the absence of evidence that they are drug addicts or they took prohibited or regulated drugs without any justifiable reason at all.

i recommend a re-test and giving the employee a chance to explain. he might be on some kind of medication.
