Hi! Another question lang po regarding passport renewal. I was married under muslim rites and got my divorce decree last year. Sa passport ko po my married last name po ang gamit ko.Ask ko lng po kung is it still possible to use my married last name but my status will be changed to single? Though I have all the supporting documents na magpapatunay na divorced na nga ako. Prob ko lng po kc sa pagkuha ng Visa.one of the requirements po kc is to show the new and the old passport. If ever na ibalik ko sa dati ang last name ko will there be any problem with my visa application? Kc pagnagkataon my new passport will have my maiden last name po... Pls help po..looking forward to your kind reply..thank you and more power!

For passport renewal they do ask for marriage certificate to be submitted so if you are divorced you cannot use your ex-husband's surname as simple as that! Your visa has to be changed to your single status surname. You cannot use single status while using your ex's surname. all you have to do, upon renewal bring your divorce certificate so they can change your married name back to your single name.
