First of all the nature of our job is in pharmaceutical sales.. as part of our compensation package we were given a basic salary,car allowance gas allowance and food allowance, car allowance will be given provided that we buy our own car. We have been employed by this company for 4 years now. and now they have this new policy in which we cannot do a sale, after a month, we were ask to stay in the office and the allowance is somehow being delayed. do we have the right to claim our allowances? is it legal?

if they've changed your position to be office bound and transpo is no longer required, then i think the allowance can be withheld.

Imben, isa akong medrep like you. Allowances are given for us reps pang area, lik gas if me kotse ka, transpo if wala kang kotse, pang lunch , at times m konting sobra, pang snacks. Never sya naging part ng payroll like salary. Kita mo, if mag VL ka or SL, wala kang allowance on those days. Hope this explains your concern. If sa tingin mo, medyo lugi ka, i suggest is to make a kilometer reading ng pinupuntahan mo, daily for one month. Diyan makikita ng boss mo/ HR if kulang talaga ang binibigay sa iyo sa allowance. Yes at times nadedelay siya. Kami din. But wait.

Ang allowance computed siya sa 22 working days. If me paunang bigay a iyo ang office ninyo, subtract it sa Expense report mo. If me julang, yan, magsabi ka sa boss mo. If me sobra at di di nauubos ang sobra at dumdating ang allowance mo ng di pa nauubos ang sobra, then di k puwede magreklamo. Me sobra ka pang allowance.

Pero if kulang siya, tapos delayed pa allowance mo, then magsabio ka na sa boss/ HR ninyo. Workin capital yan sa area mo..
