The RESA Law was implemented only in 2009 and it is very clear with that statement, Real estate service was under DTI before and it allowed any graduates of 4 years up to be a real estate broker (prerequisite to become appraiser and consultant after 5 and 10 years respectively) and it was transferred to PRC and become a profession but because of the absence of graduates for that profession, the PRC until now allows other 4 years up course graduates to take the board exam for real estate broker. If we have now this course this year, then by year 2017 and the following years the PRC will not allow any courses to take the said board exam. My advice, continue your course which is also a good foundation then after graduation, take a post grad course for real estate management by modules at de la salle st benilde. If you are really interested to become a real estate broker, you can start now while taking up course in college by applying for licensed real estate sales person which is also under PRC, you need 120 units which includes 60 units seminars and 60 units actual training. But if you are already in 2nd year college, you need only 60 units to become a licensed sales person. good luck.
