1 Field worker on Mon Aug 19, 2013 3:20 pm

Good Day.

My friend works as a business development assistant. Part of his work is to visit, study and locate sites that are compatible for constructing billboards. There are times that he is required to travel.

My questions are:

1) may he be classified as a field worker?
2) is his travel time compensable? his stay at the hotel, until he reports back for work?
3) may he also claim night shift differential?

Thank you very much. Hope you could enlighten us..

Not a field worker because not all the time he is working outside or assigned on a place other than his office.

All compensable.

If the undertaking was done within the office, then, he can claim for NSD, otherwise, cannot.
