me and my "boyfriend" is arguing over this topic. we have a son and no plans of getting married. afaik, our son is considered as an illegitimate child but he claims that there's a law that had been passed recently that disregards the fact about children being illegitimate. is this true?

the status of your child is illegitimate. perhaps he is referring to the revilla law which now allows the illegit child to carry the surname of the father. but it does not make him a legitimate child.
