My son is a recognized illegitimate child. His father and I are not married but he uses the dad's surname, and his dad's signature is present on his birth certificate. I need to know how strongly effective are the dad's rights over my son. Considering that my son is not fully financially supported and the dad does not even visit regularly.

the father has visitation rights, but you retain sole parental authority. if you deny him visitation, he'll have to go to court
