I am a permanent employee in a private college institution part of Region III for seven years now. My position is Registrar 1. Two years ago our HRD Officer adapted the Revised Qualification Standard of 2010 and Compensation and Position Qualification System as our salary scale. In our Education Law and Private School and also in our personnel handbook, my position Registrar 1 is a teacher's status. Meaning my position level is the same with teacher 1. In the reallocated positions in the above mentioned Revised Qualification Standard of 2010, Registrar 1 was not in the lists, however teacher 1 was included, thus, all teacher 1 positions in our school was changed to salary grade 11 from salary grade 10 subsequently . The salary grade of my position starting 2 years ago is salary grade 10, the fact that my position is teacher’s status, I feel that my salary grade must change also to salary grade 11.
In view of this, may I inquire if my feelings regarding this matter is correct that I should also be granted the same salary grade with teacher 1? And if yes, may I also inquire if I can ask for a retroactive pay of my salary for 2 years?
