Hi Atty., Just wanna ask your opinion regarding this.

We are on compressed work week.
We are not working every saturday because we extend 1 hour from mon-thur.
Now, my question is this coming saturday is holiday.
Are we going to suspend the compressed work week for now
because saturday is legal holiday and paid already whether we work or not.

Depends on company policy, but legally all wether monthly or daily paid were all deemed paid if unworked and additional premiums if worked.

yes, if Saturday is a holiday, then compressed work week is cancelled.

this is an interesting question.

my take on this is that you have to check the compressed work week schedule that your company has submitted to the regional office of dole.

if your cww schedule is indicated there, then, you have to render the extended one hour from monday to thursday.

of course it would be great if management will take more considerate stance on the matter and either cancel the cww for that period or pay you OT for one hour but they also have the right to enforce the cww schedule as submitted to dole Smile

Good day. May I ask;
1. How do you check the submitted compressed work week schedule to dole?
2. What if there is no schedule submitted? Is there a penalty for it? What is the penalty?

if ni complain mo sila and their CWW policies are not consistent with yung mga rules ng DOLE, dole will just tell them to stop implementing CWW. No admin penalties or fines are to be levied by DOLE against the company. yung pag report ng CWw sa dole ay para mamonitor nila kung walang nilalabag na provision yung company. If dole tells them to stop they can still submit yung CWW schedule for future implementation
