Medical assistance for Injured Employee ay First Aid lang daw?

Ask ko lang po kung ano masasabi ng labor code about this.

Sabi ng HR namin, na kinonsult nya sa lawyer daw na "first aid is the most extent support the company can provide to the injured person” which contradicts to

Title I: MEDICAL, DENTAL AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
Chapter I: MEDICAL AND DENTAL SERVICES
Art. 161. Assistance of employer. It shall be the duty of any employer to provide all the necessary assistance to ensure the adequate and immediate medical and dental attendance and treatment to an injured or sick employee in case of emergency.


Ito po ang scenario ng company namin:
- may mga hazardous machine at may case na naputol yung daliri ng employee dati
- we are more or less 30 employee
- walang medical insurance, philhealth at SSS lang po
- Yearly medical check-up lang po yung nakukuha namin

Natatakot po yung mga kasama ko kasi walang policy sa company na tutulong sa tao kung sakaling mainjure sila, kumbaga hindi required. Di bale nasa boss na lng daw yung decision kung tutulong o hndi. Kung tutulong sila, good pero kung hindi, ok lang din kasi wala naman daw sa batas na kailangan nila tumulong, or first aid lang yung pwede nila iprovide. After sinabi ng HR namin yun, natakot po yung mga tao na humawak ng mga machines.

We seem na natatapakan yung rights namin. Nasaan na yung pananagutan sa amin ng company.

Mandatory bebefits lng binibigay nila, which IMO its just ok.
But for the case of injury inside company, should be reported to SSS for ECC benefits claims.

Our HR said first aid lng daw yung extent of support na pwede nila ibigay, since yun daw ang nakalagay sa law, tama po ba yun? Ano po ba yung tama nyang sabihin sa mga tao pagdating sa ganyan. HIndi nya po kasi in-explain sa amin ung SSS for ECC.

Tama po ba intindi ko na kapag may naaksidente, yung empleyado muna yung sasagot sa hospital bills, and after that magpa-file na sa SSS for ECC?
