Is it legal to suspend an employee during holidays? Any Legal implications if the employee suspension date will fall on a Holiday? Thanks in advance for the enlightenment.

meaning normally you have work on a holiday?

what kind of a holiday - regular or special?

Yes , we do have work even legal holidays. We have a 24/7 operations and 80% of the manpower are required to render work during holidays. Though we have our own company calendar , we apply the premium pay for all holidays as required by law.

That should not be allowed.
Because your suspension will be based on your normal days only.
Holidays have additional premiums compared to normal days.

I do not recall any provisions on suspensions having to be done on certain days only.

Just as similarly, preventive suspensions can be done any time.

Being unpaid on a regular day is the same as being unpaid on a holiday - any deductions will be of the same amount ie 1 day's pay.

No premiums are involved, IMO.
