Magandang Hapon po. tanung ko lang po kung anu po yung pedeng kong gawin kung nanggigipit ang meralco. ang istorya po ay ganito. nahulihan ng jumper yung kapitbahay ko po, since walang metro yung kapitbahay ko, nilagay po ng meralco sa account ko yung illegal jumper, ngaun po ay pinagbabayad nila ako ng 347k para sa consumo ng mga kapitbahay ko. nag file na po ako ng complaint sa meralco pasig business center pero puro imbestigasyon yung nangyayari. nagpatunay na po yung nahulihan ng jumper na wala akong kinalaman at gumawa pa sila ng Notarized Affidavit na wala kong kinalaman sa illegal jumper. pero parang binabalewala nila yung formal complain ko.

Ngayun po ay nagpapagawa po ako ng bahay sa ibang lugar, at nag apply po ako ng meralco line, ayaw po nilang payagan kasi may nakakabit daw sa pangalan kong Violation of Contract(VOC). lahat po ng mga documento ay naka pangalan sakin kaya di ko po ma apply ng bagong linya ng meralco ang aking bagong bahay.

i don't understand. how could there be a jumper to your neighbor's house and you are made responsible? a jumper has to be placed before your meter. does it mean your own household was not being charged the correct amount of electricity consumption? if so, did you not become suspicious that your bills were so low?

if the jumper was before your meter then it could only be an illegal tap, and you should not be responsible.

your remedy is for either your neighbor to enter into a settlement with meralco so your name will be cleared or you file a complaint with the ERC under the magna carta for residential electricity consumers.

the jumper was tapped before my meter. since wala po silang makitang macharge nung illegal connection sakin po nila kinabit yung Violation of contract.

what is magna Carta for residential Electricity consumers?

Article 25. Right to File Complaints before ERC33 .- Every electric
consumer has the right to file a complaint before the ERC for violation of ERC
laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and policies, including but not limited to RA
9136 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, RA 7832 and its Implementing
Rules and Regulations and ERB Resolution No. 95-21, as amended; Provided,
That the complainant has previously discussed/consulted the issue with the
Consumer Welfare Desk (CWD) Officer or representative of the concerned
distribution utility and no settlement has been reached.

no, but better if you have one. note that you need proof that you tried to settle the matter first with the electric company. a letter will do. good luck.

Good day Atty

Noong February 25, 2014 tumawag ako sa Meralco dahil on and off ang amin ilaw. Nang magpunta ang crew ng Meralco ay agad na tsinek ang metro at pagkalipas ng ilang minuto ay tinawag ang mrs ko ay sinabing may nakitang illegal object sa metro namin. Nang sinabi ito sa mrs ko ay nakababa na ang aming metro. Inilagay sa kalsada ang aming metro habang inaantay daw nila ang imbestigador. Dumating ang imbestigador pagkalipas ng dalawan oras kasama ang pulis. Pagkalipas ng ilang araw ay nakatanggap kami ng billing na sinisingil kami ng Php185,000.00 dahil sa nahuling illegal connection daw. Sumulat kami sa meralco at sinabi namin na hindi dapat maningil ng differential billing dahil sa illegal ang kanilang ginawa - tinanggal agad ang metro at nadisconnect ang aming ilaw sa loob ng 2 oras mahigit samantalang wala namang demand letter or unpaid bill kami. Isa pa, hindi masasabing may illegal connection kami dahil ang nasabing pagnanakaw daw ay hindi nasaksihan ng erb personnel o pulis. Dahil sa aming sulat ay nirebisa ng meralco ang aming differential billing at nagpadala ulit sila ng sulat na sinasabing nabago ang computation at ginawa na lamang nilang Php80,000 mula sa dating Php185,000.00 . Sumulat uli kami sa Meralco at sinabi naming hindi dapat maningil ng differential billing dahil sa walang prima facie evidence - sa kadahilanang hindi nga nakita ng ERC personnel o pulis ang nasabing illegal connection kung mayron man. Isa pa, ang billing namin pagkapalit ng metro ay dalawang buwang sunod na mas mababa sa mga dating reading. Sa kabila nito ay pinipilit pa din ng Meralco na bayaran namin ang recomputed differential billing na Php80,000.00. Ano po ang dapat naming gawin, kung magpafile po kami ng kaso sa RTC dahil sa violation of Anti pilfirage law ay malamang na manalo kami, subalit natatakot kami na maaaring putulan kami ng electricity habang dinidinig ang kaso. Ano po ba ang paraan upang mapigil ang Meralco na putulan kami ng ilaw habang dinidinig ang aming isasampang kaso?

Hi po.ask ko lang po if magkano pwedeng ipenalty sakin.kung nakita ng mga meralco na sinusupplyan ko ng kuryente.ung bahay na may jumper na kontador?
