Good afternoon po. May tanong po sana ako. Currently po yung company na pinagtatrabahuhan ko is nabuy out ng ibang company. Majority ng mga tao iaabsorb ng bumili sa company namin. Pero yung department po namin is hindi kasama. Ngayon po, gagawing bagong company yung mga tao na hindi naabsorb ng bumili sa company namin.

Binigyan po kami ng dalawang options:

- Una, matatapos na yung career namin once na mag take effect yung buy out at mabibigyan kami ng severance pay. Or,
- Mag join kami sa bubuuhin na new company at bibigyan kami ng 25% ng dapat na amount ng severance pay as signing bonus at makkeep ang tenure.

Binibigyan po nila kami ng deadline na mag decide until this coming friday, 30th of January kung severance pay ba or sasama sa new company. Sinabi din samin na kung di kami makakapag pasa ng decision by friday, iaassume nula na severance ang gusto namin. Pero ang problema po, hindi samin sinasabi kung saan ang location ng bagong company.

Gusto ko po malaman sana kung tamang practice ba yung ginagawa nila? Kasi po binigyan kami ng deadline sa decision namin pero di naman po kami binibigyan ng lahat ng details para gumawa ng tamang decision.

file a letter inquiring about whether the company will relocate. but whether the company gives the info, you should give an answer.

A buy out is an opportunity for the new owners to restructure the organization. Before the buy out, there was due diligence where the selling owners may declare what is value adding/ non value adding to the organization. New owners may or may no follow depending on their approach.

New owners' preference is to field in their own. However, when they take over must comply with the labor code requirements.
