We bought a car last year but used another persons name to get the car loan. Car title is currently under her name (relatives are not aware the she has a car loan) so what we want to do now is to transfer the title to us.

Should we use the usual deed of sale form even if no sale is involved between us? Or should we just sign an agreement that says we only used her name but the car really belongs to us? If signing an agreement is the way to go, can you please provide a template so I can print it and have it signed?

The person is sick and could die soon. We're afraid that relatives would take the car from us if they find out about our agreement.

Please advise what to do. Thanks in advance!

deed of sale is the best option, have it notarized asap..

Paalala lang. Properties of deceased, motor vehicles included are subject to estate taxes.

ang alam ko sa deed of sale namin ng kotse dati 10%, so kutsabahan na lang ng seller, pinababa namin price,,pero under p rin ng range,at tinanong ng attorney na nag notary, nireason out namin na magkakilala naman, at need ng repair.... so yon nakalusot kahit medyo mas mababa ang price,,
pero mind you, if nagkaroon ng aberya, ang pwede mo lang habulin na price eh yong nakalagay sa deed of sale at hindi ang actual price na binigay mo.
dalian nyo, bago yan magpaalam..

Pero kung lalagay ko ba yung actual market price, di ba ko magkakaron ng problema with relatives just incase malaman nila about sa deed of sale?
