ang ibang company, di masyado mahigpit dyan, pwede magkaibang department/ or field of work...di nagkikita palagi at di pwdeng magkakunsabahan...
kung ang tanong eh legally relatives, you are co-habiting with each other, you have an illegitimate baby, meaning meron kayo common child, so you are not only relatives, but a family(union without marriage).

sa pagkakaalam ko dyan, discrimination matatawag kung bawal magkainlaban ang girl and boy sa iisang company.
ang pwede eh yong BF/GF na kayo bago kayo pumasok, doon pumapasok yon conflict of interest, takipan, etc..
meron ako mga officemates, before and even now, with same scenario with you,
but they are not forced as what your employer want to do.
why not ask if you can just transfer to another department for example?

and that policy was clear when you start,,, so not sure kung meron kayo case....
kasi transparent naman cla,
pwede kasing they are protecting some image, culture, etc,,, and di pwedeng maquestion ng labor...
