I was suprised when my water bill came 3 months after because it was way higher by more than 5 times the normal rate I received in a different condo unit I rented before.
The admin office explains that its because we were in still in industrial rate and the residential rate application is still in process.
But when I asked Manila Water for the industrial rates- I found our admin still charges higher base on per cubic meter
As owners/tenants, we have reason to believe that the condo admin/developer is extorting money by overcharging water bills. But what legal options do we have to stop them ?
If we hold payment, they can disconnect our water supply.
