Arresto Menor
Hi! I need help regarding the van we purchased from toyota last march. We live abroad and went home last april but asked my husband's aunt to purchase the van under her name(we were asvised by a toyota agent that its a lot easier to get a van this way), which she agreed to straight away. The deposit of 220,000pesos and monthly payments all came from us and we have documents to prove this. We have been trying to get the van since end of november so my brother can use it but the aunt(who is a barangay captain) will not release it saying we should now pay it cash if we want to put it in our name because she doesnt want the van to leave her if its still ynder her name in case something happens,i.e accidents. Her and her husband even asked us to deposit the payment for january and february so they will release it. After i paid 61,000 pesos they changed their minds. They dont have a single cent on the van but they will not release it. Is this legally possible??? Pls help!
