Good day!

It is very expensive to buy a lot in the city and build a home. So I ventured on an idea of builiding a home on a river.

I am just wondering if my liberty of abode as stated in bills of rights allows me to build a house boat on a river anywhere in the Philippines and live in it? Are there existing rulings or court proceedings that cover this matter?

Please advise.

thank you!

there is no law prohibiting you from living on a boat. you will just have to register it in accordance with the guidelines of marina and the local government.
