I am in a big confusing situation right now, I work here in LAOS since 2014, a year later I become a father here having a son to my girlfriend (Laotian Girl). Unfortunately we have our child without making it in a legal way meaning to say we're not married. Can someone help me for a legal advice, cause I want to bring my son in the Philippines. I dont know how to start. My son now is 5months old and I am hoping on his coming birthday we will celebrate that in our country.

Hi, depending on the laws on citizenship followed in Laos (your son could be dual citizen), your son is a Filipino citizen. You must report the birth of your son with the Philippine Embassy in Laos to be able to obtain a certificate of birth. Then, you can start processing his Philippine passport.
