I just had my meeting with hr manager due to my 2 consecutive days absence (1 I was able to call to inform next day no as I thought that call will cover all the days I will be absent and I also have med cert that specified those dates.)

Hndi ako pinakinggan ng hr manager. Pde ba tlga mgng ground for termination ung no call no show ko ng isang araw kht pa my med cert ako at alam naman ng manager ko na may sakit ako since nakapag inform ako for my 1st absence.

Gusto ko Sana malaman kung valid talaga na materminate ako kahit my med cert ako kasi balak ko magfile ng legal actions. Tnx sa mga ssgt

too severe ang termination if one day lang ang pinag uusapan but medical certificate does not excuse yung hindi pag inform sa superiors if yan ang company policy. unless na sobrang serious ang sickness na hindi mo kayang inform ang office

tama si lukekyle. if naka saad sa company policy and sa contract mo na pwede maging ground as a valid termination ang pag-absent without prior notice then valid ang termination sa iyo pero if wlang nakasaad then meron kang cause of action para mag-reklamo.

Also, kung gagamitin yang 'habitual neglect of duty' as a ground for your Termination, you can question it as your situation CANNOT be considered as HABITUAL kasi iisang beses lang.

UNLESS, your case is an 'escalated' case already... meaning, pang-ilang ulit mo ng ginawa ito at umabot na sa Termination ang sanction mo. Sa sitwasyong ito, maari ka ng i-terminate for habitual neglect of duty.

Actually po alam ng supervisor ko na may sakit ako kc day1 pa lang nakapag inform nko. Ibig nyo po ba sabihin kung 1 week straight ako meron trangkaso 7times dn ako mg iinform? Kung yan po talaga policy ibig nyo po ba sabihin wala na ako magagawa na legal action?

yes kung yan yung policy, ganun talaga. Unless tumawag ka ng day 1 at sinabi "sir meron po akong dengue, hindi po ako makakapasok this whole week" But next week if hindi ka pa magaling you need to call. Its perfectly legal to require this.
