thanks po for your reply. it was 1965 when he became a U.S. Citizen. Since then he never got home here in the philippines. He also changed his fullname there ever since he joined the U.S armed forces in that year when he got his citizenship. We don't know the real reason why he changed his name. My parents left a property, it is were i was born and where i grew up, and had my own family. now he is claiming that this property should be his. there are no wills executed by our parents. Does his U.S. citizenship and the change of his name affect in claiming this property? What are his rights to this property?

ok, what is this property? who is/are the registered owner/s? is the title registered in the registry of deeds?

what is your relationship to each other? are you step siblings?

yes, he can claim the property if he has a right to inherit it even if he is already a foreign citizen. he will have to prove that he changed his name.
