Arresto Menor
May dispute po ba ako sa association dues I incurred over the years (more or less 10 yrs)?
I find it unfair na I should be paying the association dues dahil lot (which is fully paid) lang sya at walang activity going on. May 1 pa akong property (house & lot where reside) inside the same subdivision, na updated ang assoc dues. Nakausap ko ung hoa president and asked her that i want to see in writing na i should be paying an assoc dues for my other property, she told me nakasulat daw un sa contract to sell or acknowledgment letter/acceptance, at nag umpisa daw un nung in-accept ko ung lot. I checked pero walang nakasulat in any, nakalagay sa contract to sell about association dues but referring to by laws ng hoa. Pumunta ako sa hoa office but found no by laws, instead a different kind of document titled something about construction sa subdivision, could that be the by laws? May notary stamp sya sa last page, however walang ibang kopya for referrence ng mga homeowners.

Reclusion Perpetua
Please check if the subdivision has Deed Restrictions. This is binding on all homeowners who bought units (whether it's a house and lot or lot only) and also covers that all are part of the homeowner's association and therefore liable to pay dues. The dues are much less for lots only though.
