I work as a Technical Consultant for an account which is a Manufacturing Company in a startup BPO Company. With regards to the workplace and the company as a whole. How many CCTV's and/or Mics are allowed? Should there be labels on the walls or in the premises where they are located, etc? Should the employees be informed of such surveillance devices (CCTV's and Mic's) installed and where there locations are? Cause there seems to be a lot for such a small space/office.

up to the company yan, how many. no need to inform employees kung meron or wala. as en employee just assume na every inch has a camera and a micro phone. the only exceptions siguro is camera sa washrooms or dressing room areas

What are the purposes for so much surveillance equipment? Did the company indicate their purpose for such, aside from security?

Advise them that too much surveillance (especially those equipment that are hidden in plain sight) might violate an employee's right to privacy. The places that lukekyle also mentioned should not include any surveillance at all, since that constitutes a clear violation of privacy and morals.

If the company wishes to do it correctly, there has to be posted signs that the area is monitored and who is the administrator of the system, it has to be conspicuous upon entering the office. Because, even in work places, the right of individual to privacy still exists.

Correctly? Signs that state 'this area is monitored by cameras' is NOT a pre-requisite for it to be considered not to be wrong.

NO NEED for cameras to be conspicuous.

Privacy only exists in toilets and sleeping quarters.

Privacy only exists in toilets and sleeping quarters.

Not the cameras but the signage.

no need for signs if you don't wish to inform them

AGAIN, signs are NOT a pre-requisite for it to be considered valid.
