Hi! I just have few questions regarding my husband.
we got married 6 years ago in civil ceremony and we have a son. 2 days after our marriage, he left for US and lives there until now. Year 2006 he filed for divorce in California and i am aware that. He said he just need to do that so that he can have his permanent residence. since then, he was having relationships with other woman. last year, he told me his girlfriend of two years got pregnant and that he plans to marry her. Now that they are married, my questions are, what is the case of our marriage here in the phlippines? If he is able to come back here for a vacation, will there be any case that i can file against him? Do i still have any rights as being his wife here. How about his wife in the US, can i file a case against her also?
Thank you! looking forward for your helpful response Smile

Yes, he's still a filipino citizen. His "wife" in the US is American citizen.
He send financial support every month but the amount varies each month.
Ever since he left, he has never come back. When he calls and talk to my son, he would tell him he is coming back this year for a visit.

if you will file a case against him, you can probably expect him to stop sending support.

if you file a civil case for damages, it will not prosper unless they are here or they have properties here.

you can file a criminal case of bigamy and violence against women, but he has to be arrested for the case to continue.

you can file it even before he arrives as long as you can allege where his last known address is. cost depends on which lawyer you retain and what action you take.
