1 Marriage and divorce on Mon Mar 13, 2017 9:53 pm

Arresto Menor
I was petitioned by a foreigner USC as a fiance. We got married and 3 years after, we went back to the philippines to get married in church. We have lived together for almost 10years but both decided to get divorced because the marriage was not working anymore. Officially divorced now and I am still a LPR. I met a filipino man who became a father to my first child. What are the things i needed to do legally to be able to marry him and petition him and our daughter so we can be together as family the soonest. Thank you.

I would assume that you are still a Fiipino citizen. If yes, you have to have your divorce recognized here in the Philippines, so your record can be updated from married to divorced. After that, you can marry again.

If you need legal assistance, please email

Best regards,
