Magandang araw,

Gusto ko pong humingi ng advice tungkol sa matagal ko nang problema sa employer ko.

Under po ako ng isang kumpanya at sa kumpanyang ito ako lang ang pumapasok ng Sabado para tapusin ang trabaho ko na hindi kayang tapusin ng biyernes dahil sa dami nito, pero ayaw nila ako bayaran para sa araw na iyon o kahit overtime pay man lang. Tinanong ko sila kung bakit ako lang yung may pasok ng sabado at hindi ko ito pwedeng i-file bilang overtime, ang sagot nila, iba naman daw kasi ang trabaho ko sa trabaho ng ibang empleyado. Naisip ko parang hindi patas. Sino po ba ang tama sa amin?

that does sound wrong/unfair but perhaps you should give more details first. ano bang position mo? anong specific na trabaho yung kelangan mong tapusin on Saturday

Magandang araw,

Ang position ko po ay Processor. Ako ang nagpoprocess ng daily collections ng mga field collectors ng company from metro manila and south luzon (cheques / cash / credit memos).

Bale dapat kinabukasan matapos yung processing ng mga collections at yung collection report for the reference of our main client and of our office personnels and my boss for daily operations. Pinagagalitan nila ako kapag hindi ko natapos yung report kinabukasan or I'm being questioned kapag may hindi ako naprocess kaya madalas akong sobra sa normal 8 hours work, madalas kapag friday collection, sobrang dami ng kailangan kong tapusin to the point na kailangan kong pumasok ng sabado at linggo para matapos ang collection report on monday morning. Ang hindi ko matanggap, hindi ko pwede i-file as overtime. Hindi po talaga fair tama po ba?

hindi ka inutusan mag overtime but you feel compelled to work on Saturday and Sunday para matapos yung trabaho mo?

The problem i see is if hindi ka nila inutusan baka ma consider na unauthorized overtime yan.

Meron bang ibang processor? Sila ba pumapasok din offshift para matapos ang trabaho?

Tama po. Hindi po ako inutusan pumasok or mag OT para matapos yung work pero kinekkwestion ako kapag hindi ko natatapos yung report.

Ako lang po ang processor.

Sila naman po, sa observation ko, pwede nila ipagpaliban ang trabaho nila kinabukasan or sa ibang araw.

Yeah so ang issue is not the overtime since hindi ka naman pinapag overtime.

I would suggest you talk to your immediate superior and tell them the work load is too much for you to accomplish if you only work 8 hours a day.

Actually po nai-raise ko na itong problema ko sa immediate superior ko years ago nung bago pa lang ako sa position as processor dahil lagi akong inaabot ng madaling-araw. Ang katwiran ng boss ko, parang sinasabi niya sakin na wala naman dapat talagang dedicated processor dahil pwede naman nila i-distribute yung load ko sa ibang employee. Sa pagkakaunawa ko, parang inilagay lang ako as processor to lessen the workload of other employees and they can remove my position if they need to. That time po nagrequest ako kung pwede nila ako bigyan ng katulong kahit sa encoding lang, pero yun nga po yung reason nila.

Last month,dahil wala na yung dating HR officer, kung tama po ang ala-ala ko, kinausap ko ulit yung immediate superior ko na mas lalong dumami yung pinaprocess ko dahil may mga nadagdag na clients at pati linggo pinapasok ko na matapos lang yung report. She asked me for data and I emailed it to her. The data showed a 15% increase in the data that I processed, based on my own analysis, ans my immediate superior said they will check on it, pero until now wala pang update sakin yung boss ko.

If i were you, i would just do what i could in my paid hours. Pinepressure mo lang sarili mo man.
Kaya hindi ka nila pinaoovertime means the outcome is not as urgent as you perceive.

kapag hindi ko kasi tinapos yung work, baka matambakan ako at napagalitan na ako noon, pero naisip ko na rin makiusap sa boss ko na baka pwedeng ipagpabukas ko na yung hindi ko matatapos.

Sa ngayon nag follow-up na ako sa boss ko dun sa email ko na nagpapakita ng data na masyadong marami yung load ko, mag-iisang buwan na pero wala pa silang reply.
