My friend was from another country germany tapos may nagpost ng mga defamatory statements sa fb calling her bitch and minumura sya ng isang pinay from seychelles. Parehas silang abroad different countries po. Pwede nya bang habulin yung pinay paguwi nya? May nagsabi daw kasi hindi daw to covered ng jurisdiction ng pinas kasi both abroad and to file a case it should be on the place where the article was published or SAN naganap ang crime which was in seychelles tama ba to?

The venue of libel cases, where the complainant or offended party is a private individual, is limited only to either of two places: 1) where the complainant actually resides at the time of the commission of the offense; or 2) where the alleged defamatory article was printed and first published (Bonifacio v. RTC Makati).

1. The complainant is was not residing in the Philippines at the time the defamatory statements were posted.

2. The alleged defamatory article was first published in Seychelles.
