Arresto Menor
I work for a BPO company. Each shift lasts for 8 hours with only 30 minutes time to eat lunch. We are only given 5 vacation leave and 5 sick leaves. There was an incident that my holiday pay was not given because I was absent the day before the holiday.

Questions:
1. Is a company allowed to only give 30 minutes to eat lunch/meryenda?
2.what is the minimium number of VLs and SLs prescribed by our Law?
3. Does an employee need to show up at work the day before and the day after a holiday in order to get his/her holiday pay?

1. you can demand for 1 hour lunch break but that isnt paid. im guessing yung 30mins na lunch break nyo is paid kasi its part of the 8 hour shift.
2. govt mandatory is only 5 days leave. you are getting 10 dont complain.
3. yes. nasa dole website yan if you want to confirm
