Atty,

My husband is working in Australia for more than 4yrs and he has stopped sending financial support for more than two years already. Meron po siya kabit sa Australia and she has sending us threats noon. This happened nung unang taon niya sa Australia.

I desperately need your advice. Sana po sumagot kayo. Thanks in advance.

very difficult situation. i had a prospective client with a similar situation. i found out that there is a Child Support Agency in Australia who can take legal action against deadbeat parents.

They have diplomatic channels with the Philippines, but it appears they require a court order to be issued by a Philippine court before they can take action against the parent in Australia.

You can read more at their website. I'm afraid that's the extent of my knowledge.

Hubby has no face book page? email? how about his place of work?

meron daw po siya facebook sabi ng anak ko. pero iba po ang last name na ginamit niya at mga pictures niya at ng mistress niya ang nakalagay. my daughter tried adding him pero palagi lang iniignore. we also cant send messages in his fb. his yahoo mail is being accessed by his mistress. never po namin naabutang nagonline ang asawa ko. one time yung mistress ang nakakachat namin. sinubukan ko na din na tawagan siya sa work ilang beses na. nakakahiya na nga sa manager niya kasi kelangan pa muna siya ang makausap bago namin makausap ang asawa ko. pag nakakausap namin siya noon, nagagalit siya and madalas binabagsakan lang ako ng telepono. sinabihan na po ako ng anak ko na huwag ko na siya tawagan pa at nagawa ko naman na ang parte ko para makausap siya pero siya po talaga ang ayaw na ng kahit anong connection sa amin.

regarding po sa child support, my son is now 18. but when my husband stopped his financial support my son was still a minor, 16. pwede pa din po ba ako magaaply for child support?

aside from what i mentioned about the child support agency, which seems no longer applicable, I'm afraid there is no other remedy I can think of.

If you are able to monitor your husband, then you can file a complaint for economic abuse here and if he arrives, report him.
