1 YEAR OF BIRTH ERROR IN NSO BIRTH CERT. on Sat Oct 28, 2017 12:52 am

Arresto Menor
Good day! I would greatly apreciate any response or suggestion regarding this. Before NSO’s system was computerized, my mom was able to file three NSO Birth Certificates. All containing varying years of birth. It was actually not what she intended at all but it was my grandfathers’ doing. Hindi din po niya alam bakit ganun ang lolo ko iba iba po yung pinasa mali mali pa. Pwede daw po kasi yun dati pasa lang ng pasa. Pero nakapagpasa po siya as latest (out of those three entries) ng year of birth niya na 1972. This is the birth year reflected in her passport and all docs. So what happened is nung na computerize po ang system, ang nakainput po dun is yung first two na maling dates. Eh nagexpire po ang passport niya, eventually hindi na siya nakapagrenew kasi mali yung nakalagay sa entries sa birth certificate niya. Nawala na po yung 1972. Until now, she can’t renew po. She was quoted about 200,000 pesos to cancel the two wrong entries. Is this really the only way to go about it? Wala po ba ibang pwedeng solution? Hoping for a response and would greatly appreciate one. Thank you po!
