Hello pinoylawyer!
May gusto lng po ako itanong. I need advice regarding sa change of surname ng anak ko.
Year 2008 po, nanganak po ako. Blessed po ako dahil responsableng lalaki po ang nakabuntis sa akin.Eh ayaw po kasi ng parents ko pag asawahin ako kaya pinapunta nila ako ng manila pra doon itago ako sa lugar namin gawa ng ayaw ng parents ko pag chismisan kami.
In short story po, yung anak ko naka apelyido sa akin.. Nagkatuluyan din kami ng asawa ko (tatay ng anak ko) dahil kahit tama lng ang estado nila sa buhay ay di naman nya ako pinabayaan. Mag 10years old na po anak namin.. naka acknowledge naman yung asawa ko sa birth certificate ng anak namin ngayon gusto ko na sana i-change surname diko kasi naasikaso agad gawa ng nag abroad kami ng asawa ko at ngayon umuwi na kami for good. Nag google search po ako sa PSA kung ano gagawin ko, kaso di po clear kung gaano katagal ang proseso. From davao pa po kami tapos na register yung anak namin sa quezon city.
May alam po ba kayo? Pwede po makahingi ng idea? Maraming salamat po

Go to the Local Civil Registrar in Davao and inquire about the process of legitimization. You will need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate. Can't comment on how long it will take because it varies
