hi.
first, I would like to ask if the Maria versus Ma.  in mother's name would pose problems for my son? say, travels abroad or any documents, for that matter.
His birth certificate indicates a MA.  but mine is a long MARIA.  please advise on what to do.

second, in my PSA certified birth certificate, my name is somewhat blurred but one can decipher it naman. will that be a problem when i get a passport? thanks

yes, it can be an issue but it will depend on the document examiner if they will let it pass

Would it help just to execute an affidavit for this case? Just to prove that the mother with MA. and Maria as her name is just one? Hoping for ur clarification.

it might, but it depends on the discretion of the examiner
