Hello Atty,

Question po sana. Pwede ba ako issuehan ng AWOL ng employer ko if nagsabi naman po ako sa knila na magleleave ako dahil namatay ang bayaw ko?

Feb. 11 - nagsabi po ako na need ko umuwi ng province dahil namatay po ang bayaw ko. No reply from my immediate superior po nun kaya umuwi na po kami.
Feb. 15 - TInanong po ako ng Supervisor ko qng kelan ako babalik sa trabaho nireplyan ko po ng Feb. 26 (bale 2 weeks po ung maging leave ko)
Feb. 17 - Tinext po ako ng manager ko na 5 days lang daw po ang allowed na leave ko at need ko na daw po bumalik sa trabaho by Feb. 19. Nireplyan ko po na hndi po ako makakabalik nun dahil ang libing pa po ay Feb. 20 pero hndi po sya pumayag
Feb. 19 - pinadalhan po ako ng sulat sa bahay na AWOL na daw po aq.

Ano po dapat ko gawin dito? Salamat po

Hindi po ba against sa norms and culture ang ginagawa po nila?

Yung hindi po pag reply ng immediate superior ko nung ngtanong sya kung kelan ako babalik ay nangangahulugan na approve nya na po yung leave ko na yun?

mag report ka nalang sa hr. malamang they will ask you to explain, just explain things truthfully. More likely than not they will issue you a written reprimand or suspension.

you should include the death certificate even if they're not asking for it. 2 weeks is a bit long for a non-immediate family member
