end of contract of probationary employee and payment of last salary

just want to ask the following:

pag probationary po ba na manager level pwede maend ang contract without prior notice, as in same day sasabihin sa kanya na hindi na itutuloy ang probationary contract nya after 3months nya sa company at last day na din nya dahil non-performer sya.

walang evaluation or notice in advance.

Tapos yung salary nya for April 30 na dapat irelease na nahold kasi last day na agad nya ng April 30 knowing na ang sahod for April 30 ay para sa cut-off na April 11-25 na pinasok, So meron pa syang April 26-30 na nahold na din, tapos may cash bond naman sya at 13th month. Tama ba na patagalin pa nila ang pagrelease ng last salary?

Gusto na mag labor ng friend ko pero sabi ko isettle nalang sa company, kaso araw araw na sya nagfollow up wala padin daw last salary nya.

If not mistaken, pag terminated po due to performance evaluation diba po dapat hindi mahold ng matagal ang last pay?

ganon talaga yun, i put on hold ang last pay kung na terminate na sya.. he just needs to follow up.. kung wala pang 1 month, reasonable pa yun..
