HI po. Goodmorning!
Need ko lang po ng help regarding sa AWOL. Katatpos ko lang po makausap ang TL ko ngayon and she informed me na tagged as AWOL na daw ako. I was absent since last week. Sabi sakin ng TL ko na may RTWO na daw ako last week. I admit na yung medcert ko last tuesday is walang indicated na bed rest. Hindi ko lang po talaga kaya pumasok since nagtatae po ako which is very critical sa field of work ko at iniintay ko lang ang healthcard ko. However, nag iinform naman ako sa TL ko na magpapahinga muna ako at di makakapasok. So last Sat (RD ko) nagpacheck up ulit ako sa doctor ko and advised me na magpa laboratory and schedule niya is every MWS lang. Kaya kahapon nsg follow up ako sa kanya at advise me ulit na magpa lab for ny sugar level naman this time. May documents ako at medcert (included dito na magpapalab ako ngayon), a screen copy of my approval kung kailan lang ang validity ng lab (hanggang 13June lang) Now, I sent a picture of the receipt ng lab ko sa TL ko since yung lang ang document ko for now dahil mamayang hapon pa ang releasing ng result. Sabi niya sa akin may hearing na daw ako on 18June (Monday) May laban po ba ako?

pumunta ka lang sa hearing at doon ka na lang mag paliwanag. mag dala ka ng mga documents to prove that your absences are valid.

awol = absences without official leave = unauthorized absences - you are tagged as awol because your absences are not approved or authorized. if you did not inform your head about your absences, on a per day basis, that can be considered awol.. also awol is counted on a per day basis. also, if you reported to work and you did not passed any leave form, that is considered awol. now, in your situation, you need to convince them why they should not give you disciplinary action for your absences.

Yup. Yun na nga sinabi ko sa TL ko na sa hearing nalang ako aattend. Dalhin ko nalang lahat ng necessary documents na maipapakita ko. Hindi na ako pumasok today since na tagged as AWOL naman na ako. My TL told me ‘You can opt to go to work until mg hearing ka.’ So choice ko kung papasok pa ako o hindi until hearing?

mali, dapat pumasok ka na... every day that you are tagged awol, nag accumulate sa offenses mo yan, and usually sa company policies, if you reached a certain number of awol you can be terminated. also may rtwo ka na, so kailangan ka na pumasok

If you want to preserve your legal rights, I recommend you go back to work as mandated on the RTWO. While you might be sanctioned for being absent, the company will not be able to terminate you for abandonment.
