gusto ko lang po malaman kung anu ang dapat kong gawin para mapalitan ang apelyido ng anak ko ( ako po ang mother ) at pinagamit ko ang apelyido ng ama niya ng pinanganak pa lang siya ngayun ay 1 and 6 months na ang baby ko at hindi na sinusustentuhan ang anak ko ng ama niya dahil may iba na itong babae, ngayon tinatakot niya ako na pwede daw ako kasuhan kung pagbabalakan ko palitan ang apelyido ng anak ko. opo gusto ko palitan ang apelyido ng anak ko ng surname ko ( hindi ako married wala akong asawa ) ang gusto ko lang palitan ang apelyido ng anak ko para hindi niya na ako matakot na kukunin niya ang anak ko paglaki. willing ako gumastos kung sakali ikurte ito. kaya lang natatakot ako matalo at makuha niya ang anak ko (babae ang baby ko kaya ayoko ipagkatiwala pa sakanya dahil ilang beses niya na ito pinabayaan kada uwi may lagnat di kaya may mga sugat.) please help me. give me some advice. ano po ba may right siya sa anak ko? kahit hindi kami kasal pero sa birthcrtificate andun apelyido niya at nirecognized niya ito. paano ko po papalitan ng apelyido ko ang anak ko.

the law is on your side already. only the mother of an illegitimate child has parental authority and custody. the father only has visitation rights.

unfortunately, there is no clear remedy for changing back the name of your child.
