Good afternoon. I have been separated from my husband for 13 years now. I filed for annulment but lost. I do not want to use his surname anymore, is this possible even if we are not legally separated or annulled? Would be grateful for your reply. Thank you and God bless.

yes, you can revert to using your maiden name, but you cannot obligate government agencies such as dfa to change your name in their records or in your IDs and passport.

Hi
Attorney, I had a similar problem with cinderella. In my passport Im using my maiden name but not in my sss. I want to drop my husband as my benificiary because we're not living together for 13 years and besides that my kanya kanya na kaming pamilya. I filed 2004. Tapos ngayon balak kong mg apply abroad as single kaya lang yong sss ko married ako.
Ang gulo attorney please help me

the security guard is correct.

you cannot declare yourself as single because you are married. if you already file for annulment before, then there's no clear legal remedy.
