Hello, I want to start a food franchise with partner in the Philippines, I am an American citizen, and just want to act as a investor and use the business for passive income. The business would have to be in her name, is there any way I can be protected? Can I do it without being exposed to loosing my money? and getting cut out of the Business? Thank you, or Samamat po

you'll have to draw up a contract. i recommend lower returns so it will be a loan. that way you will be entitled to collect even if the business closes. ask for post dated checks.
