Cancellation of a Purchased (Promo) SEAIR Flight

Last Dec. 2010, I purchased a Promo Ticket from SEAIR with a route of Manila-Tablas-Manila for Aug. 26 -29, 2011. Two months ago, I received a Chikka Message from SEAIR informing me that my flight was rescheduled. It was ok with me. But last week, I received another Chikka Message from SEAIR informing me that my flight is already cancelled and I can just refund in full my payment last December 2011.

I find it hard in my heart to accept it because the money they are refunding me is no longer enough to purchase a new ticket because I got a big discount on their Dec. 2010 promo.

I emailed them to let them know of my frustration. I ignored all PAL and Cebu Pacific promos that fall on Aug. 26-29, 2011 because all the while I know I already have a SEAIR ticket on that date.

After a few more exchanges of email, SEAIR agrees to reschedule my Manila-Tablas-Manila on October and on a Wednesday dates. This is unacceptable to me because I strategically planned my trip on a long weekend so I will not file a vacation leave for my company but now they offering to reschedule my trip on weekdays and I have to use my available vacation leaves.

They offer to re-route my flight to Manila-Caticlan-Manila but they limit it to up to Oct. 15, 2011 only. I actually asked them to have reroute my flight to Manila-Caticlan-Manila as an option but I wanted it to be on Oct. 28-31, 2011. This is to compensate for the original long weekend that I should be enjoying on my original Aug. 26-29, 2011 trip.

Do you think, I have the right to demand/insist a specific date for the exchange of my originally purchased ticket that they cancelled. Actually, it is not that I want to be in Boracay, as a matter of fact I have been to Boracay Island already thrice this year. It just happened that there is a jetty port in Caticlan that can take me to Tablas Island.

I hope you can give me a sound advise on my predicament.

first, look at your contract and see what it says regarding this matter. I do not believe you can demand that they book you on a specific date, but you are entitled to a refund.
