1 question on inheritance on Wed Aug 17, 2011 8:53 am

Arresto Menor
I'm 20 years old; my father abandoned me, my mother, and my younger sisters when I was 10. He had a mistress and an illegitimate son, so my mother and father got annulled.
My question is this: Will I still inherit something from my grandparents when they pass away even though my father has disowned me (he lives with his woman and bastard son, not sure if they're married now) and completely does not care about me anymore?

Hope you answer my questions. Thanks.

unless your father dies first, you have no right to inherit from your grandparents.

look up the annulment decree. what was the basis? there should have been a delivery of the presumptive legitime.

i don't know if you were properly disowned, but your can contest it when your father dies.
