I'm a call center agent atty. and as of now my work status is temporary lay off bec my account was pulled out.
I asked our HR manager to find out if I'm entitled to receive a severance pay since I've been with the company for 4 years and he said yes if the company will not be able to find a new account for me. They are trying to assign me on our office in Makati but I refused due to proximity the reason why I'm now temporary lay off.
Is it true that I cant demand for a severance pay since the company is trying to exert effort to find a new account for me and they will still honor my tenure? Will they file a complaint against me if I will refuse to be assigned on a new account and just wait for 30 days so I can demand for a sep pay?
